PTC was looking to add new functionality into two conference rooms within the corporate visit center where they have clients travel in from all over the world.
Some of the challenges faced were leveraging as much of the existing AV infrastructure as possible while adding the required functionality. DGI needed to provide a simple to use interface from an end-user perspective while adding wirelessly presentation and software-based video conferencing functionality into the spaces.
Enhancements included the addition of wireless sharing from an IOS device, USB HD PTZ cameras were added to the front and rear of the room for soft video conferencing applications, a ceiling mounted array microphone was installed to capture the local presenters in the room for video and audio calling. The Crestron control system was updated to include a primary wired touch panel with a secondary IPAD for wireless room control. The user interface was updated to simplify the operation of the room while providing general onscreen user instructions right from the control interface.
