DGI was proud to provide and install the graphics for the MGH Boston Marathon Team Mural project. Brought to life by designer Bruce Jones, Dr. Weinstein and MGHfC child life specialists Heather Peach, MS, CCLS, and Caroline Armington, MS, CCLS, the marathon mural covers a hallway in the pediatric cancer clinic.
Working closely with project designer Bruce Jones, DGI installation team performed a site survey assessing any installation challenges that may arise, while our digital desktop and printing staff produced color proofs for review by Bruce and the Marathon Team Mural project staff. Following the proofing phase, DGI printed and installed the colorful and inspiring graphics in the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Visitors Unit. Guests can follow little blue footprints to the finish line through a montage of Boston Marathon photos, art, quotes and media clippings. A rewarding project that we feel brings hope and inspiration to the patients at MGH!
The project consists of 3M Adhesive vinyl wall murals, custom cut adhesive vinyl decals, custom cut floor graphics, plexiglass dedication plaques mounted with stand-off fixtures as well as a replica of the Boston Marathon finish line (Which incidentally we print and install every year for the actual marathon).
