To launch her new album, Eleven, Martina McBride partnered with Amtrak to launch Martina McBride: Eleven Across America, Powered by Amtrak – an eleven stop, four-day train tour across America.
The tour also incorporated the Pink Together Campaign which raises awareness of breast cancer.
To showcase this event, Amtrak contracted DGI to print and install 3M Scotchprint graphic wraps on 4 of the train cars: 2 full wraps and 2 partials. All work was done on the California Pacific Surfliner Double-Decker Cars.
Logistics play a major role in wrapping train cars so the first order of business was to put the DGI project management team together. Once our team was in place, all parties involved, from the clients to the train facility people in LA, to the designers and installers were identified and contacted.
From that point it was site inspections, measuring, creating templates, working with the designers, proofing, printing and installing. Sounds simple, but a lot of expertise and attention to details were needed to make the project a success.
The project went without a hitch and all parties were thrilled with the outcome. Martina and Company left LA on October 10 and arrived in NYC on October 14, stopping in 11 cities along the way.
A great cause, a great tour and a great outcome! DGI is proud to have been a part of this project.
